The Aurora Arsenal Soccer Club

ADULT LEAGUE

The Arsenal co-ed Adult House league is a great way for parents of Arsenal kids and others to enjoy the experience of playing soccer and getting exercise in a fun and non-competitive environment.  We are looking forward to another great edition of the recreational co-ed Adult league this summer.

When are the games played?

The games will again be played Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM. The season typically begins on the Sunday after July 4 – we start after the House League ends for the season.

For 2023, the first game will (probably) be July 9.

Who can play?

The league is open to anyone age 30 and over.

The league is open to all skill levels – no experience is required. Many players have played soccer in high school or college, but some have only a few years of experience or are playing for the first time in this league.

You must be registered to play in scheduled games.

How long is the season?

The season will be (at least) 8 games this year.

What about practice?

During the season, there are sometimes pick-up "practices" are typically Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Before the season begins, practices may be held on Sundays at 6:00 PM.

What equipment will I need?

Shin guards are required. Boots (er, soccer shoes) are encouraged. Jerseys will be provided. Water is a smart addition to your ensemble.

Is this a competitive league?

This is a recreational soccer league – remember, it's for all skill levels. It's a fun league and we do sort of keep score but you would be hard pressed to consider this competitive soccer. No slide tackling.

When you register, you'll be asked to provide a skill-level rating – it's your self-assessment of your soccer abilities. We'll use this rating as we try to balance the teams...
Please do not email requests to be placed with other players. Players with the same last name will be placed together when it is possible based on skill level.

Played post-high school: College or competitive league experience, strong ball-handling, targeted shots
Better than average: High school or league experience, good ball-handling, shooting, and/or defense
Middle of the pack: Limited competitive play, competent but not likely to win MVP on "Parents vs. Kids Day"
Not so good: Still learning and developing ball-handling, shooting, and/or defensive skills
Newbie: Just starting out and/or limited playing experience

You had me at 'soccer' – how can I sign up?
